Gajar ka Halva
Carrot also called Gajar in hind/Urdu languages.
This is a sweet dish recipe.
Ingredients
Following are the ingredients which are used for the preparation of Carrot Halva (Gajar ka Halva).
- 1 kg carrots grated
- 1and 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 or 6 green cardamom seeds also called “Chhoti ilaichi”
- ½ cup oil or ghee
- Cheese or Khoya
- Dry fruits as you wish like almond, pistachio, raisins etc.
- Milk 2 cup or 5-6 tbs. powder milk
Preparation
First of all choose fresh and healthy carrots. Grate the carrots. Put carrots in a big pan at low heat and put green cardamom seeds (chotti ilaichi).
When carrots become soft and water dries. Then add sugar after one minute adds oil, cheese (khoya), dry fruits and milk. Mix this and wait until water dried out.
Now sweet and healthy carrot halwa is ready and can be served hot or cold.
